ty.net/sessionPop.cfm?confid=128&proposalid=11416\n
In 2017, STC created
a dedicated organization for Data Governance (DG) with the o
bjective to introduce global best practices regarding the data governance a
nd management of data in the Digital Era, with a focus on Data Quality. Con
sequently, a Data Governance operating model was established.
\n
In 20
18, Data Governance started working on a well-structured initiative to crea
te Data Quality capabilities for each Business Unit (BU), called
the Data Quality Health Index (DQHI), aiming to have
very clear mappings and control of the Data Quality gaps and related impact
s of corrective actions.
\n
We will cover how to:
\n\n
Measure and report Data Quality health at the corporate level\n
Empower decision makers with facts on the state of Data Quality using scien
tific approaches\n
Guide corporate Data Quality initiatives and investment\n
Raise Data Quality challenges to corporate agenda\n\n
The DQHI provides a
standardized approach using state-of-the-art mechanisms to ensure agility
and seamless integration within source systems using bottom-up and top
down approach. It maintains the attribute information at the most gra
nular level and helps to evaluate the Data Quality. It also enables da
ta stewards and business users to continuously monitor Data Quality, view i
ts current state, track trends, and use this insight to make informed busin
ess decisions.
\n
